It's true! The 165th Shiloh Re-Enactment is coming to Michie, Tennessee on April 2-4, 2027, hosted by the 1st Division. The re-enactment will take place at the Atkins' Mill skirmishing land (1024 Mount Olive Road, Michie, Tennessee 38357), which was apart of a larger set of skirmishing in late April, 1862. The land was actually utilized by Confederate soldiers as they attempted to defend the advancing Union guard when orders were made to push to Corinth, Mississippi.
As for this upcoming re-enactment's theme, it will be centered around the renowned "Hornets' Nest" that famously began the Battle of Shiloh and ended with Confederate Commander Albert Sidney Johnston's death. For more information, please see the video shown and see the following links.
