About Us

The Old Monterey Trail Committee is a dedicated non-profit organization committed to the conservation and preservation of the historic Old Monterey in Michie, Tennessee. Through public outreach, community events, and advocacy efforts, we aim to promote awareness, action and appreciation for this vital part of our heritage. Our goal is to connect the past with the present and ensure that future generations can experience the rich Civil War history that lies within southeastern McNairy County.

Our mission is to "discover, document and preserve historical locations in Michie, Tennessee to educate the public and youth."
